History
Chris and Ngoc (Noc) met over 20 plus years ago at H&R Block, when Ngoc had an individual tax return needing the help of a trusted tax advisor at the “block”. Chris busted out his tax prowess to help with Ngoc’s tax return, and they went their separate ways. Ngoc went on to hone her accountancy skills, in the private sector acting as Controller for various companies and eventually obtaining her CPA, while Chris branched off to start his own tax consultancy practice.
In 2011, Chris and Ngoc magically reconnected when Ngoc’s friend was looking for a tax professional while Ngoc helped him with his new business accounting. She recalled her introduction to Chris and they spoke for hours not realizing that they had met before 20 plus years ago. Another five years passed without any communication, until they reconnected again when she dug up his contact information… you can say the rest is history.
Both Chris and Ngoc appreciated their tax and accounting niches, and decided to join together to serve the unmet needs of individuals, businesses, estates and trusts looking for no-fuss advice and consulting on their tax, accounting and financial matters. Chris started his career in the Navy, serving for 7 years in the Pacific & Asian Oceans. After completing his service in the Navy, Chris honed his salesman ship skills promoting Canon copy machines. His love of tax accounting started with learning tax codes in his spare time and completing tax returns for his family and friends for fun. He officially started his tax career working for H&R Block in San Francisco, managing the Sunset and West Portal offices. He passed the Federal (IRS) Enrolled Agent exam to opened his own tax practice in 1994. For the past 25 plus years, Chris has provided individual, business, estate and trust tax services across diverse clienteles and industries in real estate, restaurants, retails, and professional services.

Ngoc (Noc) Tai, CPA
Ngoc is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with over 20 years in accounting, tax consulting, and starting businesses. She has worked for Ernest & Young LLP., one of the Big Four CPA firms globally, as an auditor and tax consultant. She has also acted as Controller managing small & medium-sized finance teams across diverse industries such as real estate, renewable energy and professional services.
An entrepreneur at heart, Ngoc had her share of creating both a jewelry and tea business while simultaneously working on her accounting career and raising her son. Outside her professional sphere, Ngoc enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, traveling, learning from others, and mentoring young adults to think differently.
In 2017, after reconnecting with Chris, Ngoc manages the accounting practice while Chris focuses on the tax practice.
